COMPANY LEADERS DISCUSSED WAYS TO OVERCOME BUSINESS CRISIS
On August 20th, nearly 200 directors of Vietnam’s top enterprises joined a special forum “From struggling to great success” hosted by FPT in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and online conference through Webex system. Joining the forum are directors, top managers from Top 500 private companies in Vietnam such as AA Corporation, FPT, PNJ, Minh Phu Corporation, Thien Long Group, Deloitte…
The topic of this special conference is “Stronger together, overcoming crises”, where participants shared their ideas, discussed ways to overcome business crises based on their own experience leading their companies overcoming the previous Covid-19 wave.
At the event, Mr Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Group, said “For Vietnamese businesses, especially private companies, the company is our hearts and souls. Now, more than ever, facing probably one of the biggest crises in history, we need to be stronger and fight harder. We fight not only for our companies, our families, but also to protect the Vietnamese economy.”
Leaders from companies who had taken initiatives in protecting and preventing COVID-10 such as AA Corporation, PNJ, Minh Phu Corporation… shared their stories and their experiences in overcoming difficulties by innovative solutions, quickly changing business models, optimizing manpower and executing digital transformation.
Mr Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Chairman of AA Corporation shared “AA Corporation immediately formed COVID-19 response team, practice safe distancing at our factories, informing customers of our production timeline via email, newsletter, videos…. We are going to launch MITBOX – a smart online conference system, offering new services, creating new products and working methods.” Encouraging employees, connecting to customers and stabilizing production is our methods for managing risks and overcoming difficulties caused by Covid-19. While many wood working companies do not focus on digital transformation, one of the most effective changes to AA Corporation was to digitally transform the whole company. According to Mr Khanh, the agreement between AA Corporation and FPT to execute a total digital transformation for the entire company helped AA Corporation to overcome business crises, minimize risks and losts.
The first successful result was the Hope platform – an online exhibition tool that includes state-of-the-art technologies such as 3D scanning of factory, showroom, exhibition space, products and generates live-like images. “This is the perfect timing for a digital transformation, using modern technology to increase production capabilities, strengthen cooperations, building new business models”. Mr Khanh said.
Besides discussing problems and solutions, the conference also served as a networking event for businesses to meet, connect and form alliances among different industries, working together in order to overcome Covid-19 and become stronger in the future.
